Advantage Aviation Technologies is a leader in the development of aircraft repairs on problem parts. In the three years of aircraft overhaul and repair of Thrust Reverser/ Blocker Doors, we have yet to scrap a single door. Our repairs on these aircraft Blocker Doors are a first in the industry. All tolerances are returned to the original designs limits, not the wear limits as many of our competitors provide. All new springs are installed - A very important part since they provide tension for the pivot link. The pivot link is then hand fitted to the bolt providing the perfect fit, eliminating binding and galling. AAT also has approved aircraft welding repairs for base metal damage to the door fitting, one of the biggest causes of a door to be scrapped. Why all the special work? AAT performs blending repairs to the shell and mating surfaces, repairs worn and oversize support lug bolt holes. AAT’s approved repair scheme exceeds the manufacturer’s limits and provides for repair of the oversize bolt holes where none existed previously. ATR 42 & 72 Forward Engine Mounts
AAT performs blending repairs to remove damage from engine mounts received during service. Our engineering staff has developed FAA Approved repairs that exceed the manufacturer’s limits. In each case where these limits are exceeded, a FAA Form 8130-3 is provided with the return to service documentation.

LOW PRESSURE Two of the most common failures with the LPT Cams are broken end mounting Lugs and stripped inserts. With AAT's aircraft welding and machining process the parts are restored to precise manufacturers' tolerance. Along with the aircraft weld repair of broken insert lugs. AAT also repairs any and all threaded inserts as needed. This includes aircraft weld repair of insert bosses that exceed Tolerances. AAT has yet to scrap a single LPT Cam!
